Activated alumina is consisting of many micro-pores, specific surface is large. It can be used as adsorbent and desiccant. Some type can be used for removal of sulfur. It is also a desiccant to adsorb polar molecule. Attachment force is strong for water, oxide, acetic acid, alkali etc.
Activated alumina can remove fluorine and stronger than ion exchange resin. It is stable and capable to adsorb fluorine 6400g/cm3. It has high strength, low abrasion, no expansion.
Activated alumina can be used in drying of cracked gas, ethylene and propylene, hydrogen-generation, air separation, instrument air drying and fluorine treatment for H2O2, also in the absorbing pollution material, such as H2S, SO2, HF and paraffin
